VMSL is currently looking for Qualified Soccer referees, for our Men’s adult 35+/45+/55+ Major and Premier Divisions.

• Games are played on Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights with games starting at 7:20 PM.
• VMSL plays non-Boarded 10v10 and 8v8 games.
• A typical ref assignment would include 2-3 games per night.
• VMSL plays competitive soccer only and not recreational soccer.
• Referees must have previous soccer experience and knowledge (playing, coaching, or referee), and must be available for at least one night of play for the listed days above.
• Referees can work one or multiple nights a week.
• Referees choose what nights and games they are available for and must be reliable once they have committed.
• Candidates must be professional and respectful with the teams, as well as possess a superior understanding of the sport.
• Referees must provide their own uniform (must be professional and indicate your sports official status) and whistle.
• Referees report to Referee Coordinator and must attend training required by Referee Coordinator. Required to wear Soccer Referee uniform.
• PAY: $40.00 to $50.00 per one hour game, depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience required - i.e., Coaching, playing, or refereeing. We will not train.
• Must be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing and friendly personality.
• Be willing to learn the VMSL rules of play.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to run.
